Project Description
Deconstruction of the Past
Overview
The collection was developed through an iterative design process that began with sketching in Adobe Illustrator, followed by collage work using various patterns and selected material color palettes. The final stages included 3D modeling, construction, and detailing in CLO 3D. I rendered four pieces from the collection, which consists of five looks in total.
For this fashion collection, I drew inspiration from sustainable design and the heritage of the textile industry. The materials I received from my dear grandmother inspired me to create unique garments. I focused on business elegance and its deconstruction, designing a collection that expresses strength and confidence. By using these materials, I aim to promote awareness of sustainability and reuse within the fashion industry.
The project is built around contrast: memory and modernity, structure and interruption, craft and experimentation. Through this process, the past becomes a material to be edited rather than repeated.
